DOMESTIC & MAHOGANY
The urn in the "Lexington" style is crafted of mahogany using cabinetwork
techniques. The angular style of the rectangle shape is complemented by some unique
design elements. For instance, the gracefully curved top and base as well as the delicate
lines of the corner pieces harmonize and blend with the edges and overall profile of the
urn. Each corner piece is exquisitely shaped on a wood lathe.
The piece is reminiscent of Colonial American style furniture and cabinetwork. The beautiful mahogany wood is stained a dark nutmeg color and the finish is satin.
