The "Marquette III" series is crafted of domestic oak, walnut, maple and burl species and non-endangered exotic mahogany, zebrawood and ebony species using marquetry and cabinetwork techniques. Marquetry is a decorative inlaid wood craft that requires cutting multiple small pieces of assorted woods and joining them together into an intricate pattern.
The simple geometry, balance, and contrasting colors in these patterns is reminiscent of the Art Deco style.
The wood is hand-sanded to a high luster then finished with Tung oil to seal and protect the color and figuring of the woods.
