The "Marquette II" style is crafted of domestic maple and burl species and non-endangered exotic mahogany zebrawood and ebony species using marquetry and cabinetwork techniques. Marquetry is a decorative inlaid wood craft that requires cutting multiple small pieces of assorted woods and joining them together into an intricate pattern.
The simple geometry balance and contrasting colors in these patterns is reminiscent of the Art Deco style.
