CERAMIC-SLIP CAST
The "Elegance" series features urns and accessory pieces that are created using the slip casting process. Liquid clay called slip, is poured into a mold. Once the piece is cast and fired for the first time, an under glaze is applied to create the distinct background color.
Luster glaze containing gold, platinum, silver or copper is hand-brushed onto each piece to obtain the iridescent radiance and artful blending of colors and patterns that are fused to the surface in subsequent firings. Each piece is accented with either a 22 kt gold or platinum trim.
